7/2/2010 - 7/12/2010

Fred, Nate, Ford, and myself took a trip out to Alaska to hike, backpack, and fish Wrangel St. Elias National Park and Denali National Park. The trip started with flying into Anchorage, AK. We then drove to McCarthy where we picked up a bush plane to drop us into Tebay Lakes in Wrangel St. Elias. Spent 5 days catching tons of Rainbows in and around the lakes. After Tebay Lakes, we took the Denali Highway up to Denali National Park. Fished the creeks and streams along Denali Hwy for Graylings and Rainbows. Then spent the last days in Denali National Park for wildlife viewing.

Went to Dooley Pond to try out the new canoe for the first time. The wind continued to push us to the northern end of the pond so we ended up paddling probably more then fishing. Kristen caught a Yellow Perch and I got a Black Crappie.

8/14/2008 - 8/17/2008

Went up to buddy's cabin on Moosehead Lake. Fished the Kennebec River (West Outlet I believe) with Fred, Matt and Alex. Water level was very high so did not have great luck, but had amazing weekend none the less. I caught 1 landlocked salmon on grey ghost and Matt caught 1 brook trout on Elk haired caddis. Other days were spent boating, tubing, hiking Mt. Kineo, and of course drinking.

Hello,

This website really Rocks!

Do you think you would be able to add some kind of link or method to tag friends and groups by location?
I do a lot of traveling and I think it would be great to quickly glance at the list and determine who I know in the area so that I could meet up with to go on a fishing trip.

Thank you
Leroy

Here is my problem.I always have a pen and a small note book with me. but writing down the info the same way everytime isnt happining do you know where i could find a formated note book for fishing? like one where i just had to fill in the blanks? if not do you know any one with the time and will to make it happen?

Hey Dave,
When I was 12yrs old I went fishing in New Mexico.
We drove from Colorado (pueblo) I believe , and went to a place called 7 lakes in spanish or indian, I dont know. We could drive on a very rough road to the first 4 lakes but the last 3 lakes we had to hike to. The top lake was pretty high up there and look like a glacier melted right into the lake. I had the best day of my young life fly fishing on these three lakes. But for years I have been searching to find this place, but no luck. I opened a small business in Albuquerque and my guy there said the fishing around there has been great, so I was hoping you could help me out to find this place I have been searching for for so long.

If you were using IE7, I just fixed a major bug in the profiles that was causing it to hang and run slow...should now be working fine. Thanks to ralph_mills for pointing out error

Added new blogging component to the site. In your profile, you should now see a section call My Blog...enjoy!

Lots of improvements to the map. Now using Googles terrain layer as the default map. Also, have fishing locations and user trips plotted by default. I have it so it shows at most 100 icons at a time...as you zoom into an area it will fetch the next set of markers for that location. This helps performance and load time...Panning on the map should also be greatly improved thanks to tweaks ive made to the underlying architecture.
